Lac La Biche County helping seniors with snow removal

Lac La Biche County says it will help seniors in rural subdivisions with plowing and grading driveways. Originally, the county plowed seniors driveways on rural properties, but after realizing that didn’t always mean subdivisions, the county is moving forward on the new plan.

Seniors who are looking to take advantage of the new program will need to head to the County office and sign up for plowing at a cost of $25. They will be given a flag to be placed by the driveway so operators can confirm who has requested the service.

There are some stipulations. The county says one flag represents a driveway of 300 meters or less. If your driveway is over that limit, you will have to purchase multiple flags.
