Update- Two Fishing Lake men will remain in custody on firearms offences

Both Andy George Lacombe  and Austin Don Crevier of Fishing Lake have been remanded into custody after bail hearings. They will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on March. 8, 2018 via CCTV.

Andy George Lacombe has eight additional charges including weapons and firearms offences and has conditions not to be in the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement or near its boundaries.

Austin Don Crevier has four additional  charges including weapons and firearms offences.

The two wanted men are now in police custody. Overnight  RCMP from Elk Point, Bonnyville, and St. Paul detachments along with the Eastern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, Police Dog Services and Emergency Response Team arrested both men on their outstanding warrants. The investigation is ongoing.

Elk Point RCMP are looking for the public’s help with finding two men in connection with a couple of recent firearms offences in the Fishing Lake area. On February 23rd, mounties were called out after reports of a driver narrowly avoiding a crash and then having a gun pointed at them. On February 28th, another call came in after residents heard gunshots being fired from a vehicle at a home in Fishing Lake.The vehicle fled the scene.

Mounties have conducted an investigation and have obtained arrest warrants for two men. 21 year old Austin Don Crevier and 22 year old Andy George Lacombe, both of Fishing Lake, have been charged with a variety of offences relating to firearms and dangerous driving.

RCMP are looking for information on their whereabouts. They are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Any information should be reported immediately to RCMP by calling 911 or Elk Point RCMP at 780-724-3829 or Crimestoppers.
