Elk Point RCMP and the newly formed Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit have teamed up to arrest a wanted man. The arrest comes after mounties were called to reports of a man with a firearm at a home in Frog Lake on February 6th. The suspect fled before police arrived and was not immediately found.
On February 8th, RCMP from Elk Point along with the EADCRU, an emergency response team from Edmonton and police dog services executed a warrant on the home in Frog Lake. A 47 year old man from Mannville was taken into custody.
He was previously wanted by police for 17 other charges and now faces additional charges of resisting arrest, possession of a firearm and others. He’s due in St.Paul Court February 15th.
