An accident at the Cenovus Energy Christina Lake oil sands site has resulted in the death of a worker. At approximately 10:20 PM last night an incident involving a hauling truck occurred as a drilling rig was being moved on to site. The accident resulted in the death of an employee working with Cenovus as a third-party contractor.
The name of the worker has not been released. Cenovus is conducting a full investigation on how the incident happened.
