Outstanding warrants lead to charges

RCMP in Lac La Biche and Boyle executed 42 outstanding warrants in just three days late last month. With help from the RCMP Eastern Alberta District, officers targeted several wanted people between January 25th and 28th.

Mounties found a truck previously reported stolen in Bonnyville, along with a light tower and trailer. Six new charges have also been laid, along with others for several traffic offences against people from Kikino Settlement, Caslan, Beaver Lake, Lac La Biche, and Newbrook.

“As a result of this initiative several outstanding warrants and charges are now before the courts,” said Corporal Ronald Bumbry, Eastern Alberta District Media Relations Officer. “We will continue to strategically focus on offenders in keeping with our crime reduction strategies.”

The RCMP remind the public to remain diligent, and report crimes to local police or Crime Stoppers.
