Vehicles, stolen property recovered by Cold Lake RCMP

Eight people are facing charges after a search warrant executed by Cold Lake RCMP on January 29th on the Cold Lake First Nation turned up $75,000 worth of stolen property. The RCMP had been investigating complaints of a stolen generator at the home on the nation, when they say they noticed people in plain view with the stolen property.

Among the stolen property were three Ford Super Duty pickup trucks, a car with an altered VIN, an ATV, military uniforms, and licence plates, as well as various tires and wheels and a Honda generator. A small amount of cocaine and some bear spray was also found in the home.

Three men from Cold Lake, one man from Edmonton, one man from Onion Lake, and one woman from Bonnyville, as well as two youths who can not be named, are all due in Cold Lake court on February 14th. The Cold Lake RCMP is thanking the public for its help, as a single complaint lead to the arrests.
