Presentation on employer grant programs upcoming

Local businesses can learn more about hiring summer students and training employees at an upcoming presentation in Bonnyville. The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a session on the Summer Temporary Employment Program and Canada Alberta Job Grant.

STEP grants give employers a $7 an hour wage subsidy to hire students for summer jobs, while the CAJG splits the cost of training new and existing employees.

The presentation will be held January 19th at the Shaw House starting at 9 a.m. Anyone interested is asked to RSVP by calling 780-826-3252.
