Elk Point RCMP Make Ten Arrests in Policing Blitz

Elk Point RCMP have laid 18 new charges, executed 31 outstanding warrants, recovered a stolen vehicle and seized a semi-automatic rifle in a policing blitz from November 9th to 12th.

Altogether ten people are now facing charges:

Jennifer Berland (39) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 7 outstanding warrants and was released on $200 cash recognizance to attend court in St. Paul on November 16, 2017.

Shania Berland (21) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants and was released on $1500 no cash recognizance to attend court in St. Paul on November 23, 2017.

Waylon Moocheweines (27) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants and was remanded into custody for a court appearance in St. Paul on November 16, 2017.

Charles Singer (24) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 3 outstanding warrants and was released on a $3000 no cash recognizance to attend court in St. Paul on November 30, 2017.

Ronald Wutzke (24) of Frog Lake, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was remanded into custody for a court appearance in St. Paul on November 16, 2017.

Wyatt DeWan (23) of Elk Point, was arrested on 3 outstanding warrants and was remanded into custody for a court appearance in Hinton on November 23, 2017.

Marina Dawn Smith (28) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants and was remanded into custody for a court appearance in St. Paul on November 16, 2017. Smith was allegedly in possession of a stolen vehicle and loaded firearm at the time of arrest.

Mary Fiddler (32) of Frog Lake was arrested on 3 outstanding warrants and was remanded into custody for a court appearance in St. Paul on November 16, 2017.

Gabrielle Dion (28) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants and was released to appear in court in St. Paul on November 30, 2017.

William Berland Jr. (29) of Frog Lake, was arrested on 6 outstanding warrants and was released on a $1000 no cash recognizance to attend court in St. Paul on November 30, 2017.

Elk Point RCMP will continue to collaborate with their partners in Eastern Alberta District to identify offenders and put a stop to their criminal activities.
