Two Dead in Saddle Lake Crash

A 42-year-old man and 43-year-old woman have passed away after a Halloween night car accident on the Saddle Lake Cree Nation

A van with six occupants was heading southbound on the Northsouth Road when it hi ta northbound van with 10 occupants.

Along with the two fatalities, several occupants from both vehicles were transported to surrounding hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic on the road was detoured for several hours while police along with an RCMP Collision Analyst investigated. The investigation continues and all contributing factors related to this collision are being considered including weather and road conditions.
