Bonnyville Santa Claus Parade December 2nd

The town of Bonnyville has announced December 2nd as this year’s date for the Santa Claus Parade.

The parade will make its way down main street starting at 5 PM. In order to have a parade though, there have to be floats registered to be in it. The town is encouraging community organizations of all stripes to enter a float of their own. You can print off a registration form for a float here. Entering the parade is completely free.

There are some rules for those in the parade. Throwing candy at spectators is not allowed as it will be dark outside. However, handing candy out or a gentle toss from people on foot is fine. Santa himself is also already in the parade, so do NOT have an imposter Santa dressed up on your float. Organizers also encourage people to put lots and lots of lights on their float for as much holiday flare as possible.
