Cold Lake Peace Officers Handing Out Bags, Glow Sticks on Halloween

Cold Lake Peace Officers will be out and about making sure everyone is safe this halloween.

Officers will be handing out orange trick or treat bags with tips for keeping safe written on them. They’ll also be giving out and sticks to help young children be more visible to traffic as they go door to door.

Municipal Enforcement would also like to remind the public of these key tips for Halloween safety:

– carry a flashlight
– always use sidewalks and crosswalks
– parents should check candy before consumption
– trick-or-treat in groups, and never alone
– stay visible by wearing light-coloured clothing or a piece of reflective cloth
– dress for the weather

Stay safe and have a happy halloween.
