Man shot dead in Lac La Biche

RCMP Major Crimes are looking for surveillance footage that could help them solve a fatal shooting investigation. A man was found dead at a home in Lac La Biche the morning of Saturday, October 28th.

Police got reports of gunshots at a home in the 104 block of 102 Avenue around 4:30 a.m., and found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Corporal Curtis Peters says the Major Crimes Unit is investigating alongside the Forensic Identification section and the Lac La Biche RCMP. He asks anyone with information to contact the local detachment or Crime Stoppers.

“Our investigators would also like to hear from anyone in the area who may have had surveillance cameras recording around the time of the incident,” says Peters. “Those cameras may have captured evidence that could help with the investigation.”
