MD Organizing Regional Crime Forum

The MD of Bonnyville’s Council and Administration are moving forward to organize a Regional Crime Forum for public input.

The M.D. will be working with neighbouring municipalities, local MLAs and MPs and the RCMP to discuss solutions to the increase in crime across the region. Councillor Ben Fadeyiw will also be bringing up the issue at the upcoming
Alberta Chamber of Commerce meeting in Edmonton. Council will bring the crime issue to the floor during the question and answer segment with provincial ministers at the fall Alberta Association of Municipal Districts & Counties (AAMDC) meeting. The MD will promote the time and location of the public forum when the date is set.

Organizing such a forum within the first few weeks of being elected was a key election promise made by new Reeve Greg Sawchuk.
