St. Paul 8th Annual Walk of Hope Nov. 2nd

November is Family Violence Prevention Month in Alberta. The St. Paul & District FCSS, Columbus House of Hope and Mannawanis Friendship Centre will hold a Walk of Hope in the town to mark it.

The walk is scheduled for November 2nd, starting at 10 AM. It will start at at the Regional High School then end at the Friendship Centre, picking up more people as it goes along. Once at the Centre, a proclamation declaring Family Violence Prevention Month will be signed.

Participants will get to enjoy some hot chocolate, cookies and hot dogs for coming out in support.

“It’s so important for people to recognize that there is family violence happening,” says St. Paul & District FCSS Director Lynn Smid. “We all play a part in recognizing it and being a support to those that might be suffering.”
