19 Year Old Arrested for Fraud

A 19 year old Cold Lake man has been arrested for fraud after allegedly trying to cash in cheques taken from a stolen truck.

Police first realized the cheques were missing on Thursday when the victim of the stolen truck reported that they were no longer there when his truck was recovered. Later that same day the local Money Mart called the detachment to inform them that the suspect was trying to use them.

The man has been released on  recognizance and will appear in court on December 13th.
