Rodeo Horse Dies After Being Let Out of Gate Overnight

Bonnyville RCMP are looking for the culprit or culprits that opened a gate south of Muriel Lake, allowing several horses to escape and resulting in the death of one, which was a prized rodeo horse.

The incident occurred very early Tuesday morning on a property on Highway 657. The horse was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Police are not sure if the person who opened the gate is the same one who ran into the horse.
