Wind Warning Issued For the Lakeland

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for much of Alberta, including the Lakeland.

An intense low pressure system is developing over central Alberta today and will track quickly into Saskatchewan tonight.  Although winds could be as high has 130 kilometres an hour in the south of the province, by the time they reach the Lakeland they’re expected to dip to around 90 to 100. Scattered thunderstorms will accompany the arrival of the strong winds.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
