La Corey Man Arrested on Multiple Vehicle Thefts

A 27-year-old La Corey man has been arrested for half a dozen vehicle thefts after Bonnyville RCMP recovered them on a rural property in September.

Police were first led to the scene as a part of an investigation into a theft from a business in the hamlet. There they discovered four pickup trucks, two off highway vehicles and a host of other stolen items. Some of the vehicles also had their VIN numbers tampered with. While the suspect was identified, he wasn’t around during the search warrants and they weren’t able to catch him.

However, that changed on October 11th when RCMP went to search the property again. This time the man was located and arrested and another stolen truck was found in the driveway.

The man will appear in court on October 24th.
