Lac La Biche Man Arrested In Cold Lake After Chase To Air Weapons Range

A Lac La Biche man has been arrested on charges of stealing a truck and fleeing police on a chase that took them to the Air Weapons Range.

After stealing the truck, the suspect realized it was low on gas and had to stop at the Cold lake South Fas Gas. While in the middle of fueling up, the police arrived and he had to bolt, leaving the pump in the tank.

The resulting chase eventually wound up at the gates of the air weapons range. While RCMP were coordinating a containment with military police, the man realized he had nowhere to go, walked out of the truck and gave himself up.
