Two Kayakers Rescued From Beaver River

Cold Lake RCMP recently helped save two kayakers that got lost on the Beaver River.

RCMP got the report on September 29th and were able to track them to the military base side of the river by tracking the kayakers’ GPS. The information was passed on to military police who were able to locate them.

Rescuers weren’t able to reach the kayakers by foot so a helicopter was called in to airlift them. Two women aged 20 and 40 years old were treated for hypothermia at the Cold Lake hospital.
