The Beaver River Watershed Alliance is partnering up with the Lakeland Agricultural Research Association for a free workshop on how you can protect local shorelines.
The session is set for Sunday the 15th from 11 to 2:30 at the Shaw House. Topics will include which trees and plants are best for local animals and preventing shoreline erosion as well as reviewing invasive species in the Lakeland. If the weather cooperates, there might be an interactive portion of what the Alliance calls “X-Stream Science,” where attendees can get their hands in the water.
Organizers ask that you RSVP by October 13th by calling 780-826-7260 or emailing [email protected]. Lunch will be provided at the workshop.
