Stolen Boats From Calmar Dealership Turn up in Cold Lake

Three out of four boats stolen from a dealership in Calmar two weeks ago have been recovered in Cold Lake

RCMP discovered the three boats on Saturday afternoon on a rural property near the city. In addition to the boats, which are valued around 600,000 dollars, police also recovered another quarter million in other stolen property.

Two men are in custody with charges pending.

“Crime has no boundaries and it is very common for criminals to cross jurisdictions” says Staff Sergeant Jeremie Landry of Cold Lake RCMP Detachment.  “Sharing intelligence and information amongst RCMP detachments is critical in solving crimes.  We’re pleased with the progress being made on this investigation.”

One of the boats has not been recovered (pictured above,) and RCMP continue to search for it.
