Elk Point Announces Funding to Nonprofits

The Town of Elk Point is giving out nearly 25,000 dollars in funding to five local nonprofits.

The funding comes from the town’s Community Enhancement, Arts & Culture Endowment Grant Program, which in tun gets its money from Provincial Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI) Funds.

“It is council’s goal to help eligible non- profit organizations with their financial needs,” says Parrish Tung.”As such, council has decided to use MSI operating allotment from our provincial government to fund our goal. We know the non- profit organizations are an important part of our town, we would like to thank all volunteers for their effort to make our town ‘the right place to be’.”

The money is going to Elk Point Minor Ball ($12,000), the Elk Point Golf & Country Club ($6,800), the Elk Point Ukrainian Dance Club ($2,000), the Elk Point Curling Club ($2,000) and the St. Paul Education Regional Division ($2,000.)
