Expedia Names Bonnyville as one of Canada’s Most Active Cities

Travel website Expedia is putting the spotlight on Bonnyville, naming them one of Canada’s most active cities in a recently published list.

Bonnyville came in 14th of the 21 towns mentioned, ahead of Dauphin, Manitoba and just behind Perth, Ontario. On a five point scale, Bonnyville scored three each in running and hiking, biking and gyms and Studios and four for outdoor sports.

“Bonnyville, Alberta, tends to sneak under the radar, so we hope the city doesn’t mind if we give credit where credit is due,” the town’s blurb reads before praising the C2. “This small town of a little more than 5,000 people is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre, a $21 million hub that made space for minor league hockey, indoor rock climbing, and spin class.”

The article went on to also mention the area’s great snowmobiling trails as well as Bonnyville Beach among the features that make it a hidden gem of Canada. You can read the full article here.
