Suspicious Vehicles leads to Drug Charges

Bonnyville RCMP received a call from a vigilant citizen, on March 26th,  who noticed two suspicious vehicles near La Corey. The citizen noted that it appeared as though in one of the vehicles, the driver was intoxicated and passed out.

When Constables located the vehicles they noted that one of the licence plates did not match the vehicle it was located on. Which sparked an investigation and search of the vehicle. Two grams of methamphetamine were located and the driver, a 33-year-old male resident of Bonnyville, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

The male was transported to the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment where he was later released after being charged.
