Bonnyville Chili Cook Off This Friday

With the Bonnyville Rodeo also comes another time honoured tradition of the town.

The chamber of commerce is putting on its annual chili cook off this Friday beside Brosseau’s Department Store from noon to two. Businesses from all over town will be competing for the judges’ pick for best chili, and this year the public’s too. The Chamber says this year will feature a People’s Choice award to be handed out to the team with the most popular bowl.

Getting a taste yourself will be three dollars a bowl with all proceeds going to the SPCA. A live DJ will be providing entertainment as well.

Although details can’t be shared at this time, Country 99 will have a booth and chili entered in the cook off. We’ve got some big plans to win our third team spirit award in a row. What plans exactly? Well you’ll just have to find out for yourself now won’t you.
