Cold Lake RCMP have arrested a 26-year-old woman from Saskatchewan under allegations of stealing a car.
The RCMP got the initial call of the theft around 10:30 PM on July 9th. The vehicle was neither insured nor registered. At almost the same time, City Peace Officers called the Detachment to report on what they believed to be an impaired driver they pulled over. When the police got there they noticed the car was the same as the one reported stolen and arrested the driver.
The woman provided breath samples over the legal limit and has been charged with operating a vehicle over the legal limit, operating a motor vehicle while disqualified, theft of a car and theft under $5,000. She was then released on an undertaking to attend court.
