Smoke From BC Shouldn’t Be a Factor in Lakeland for at Least Next Couple Days

With wildfires continuing to plague BC, air quality advisories have been issued all over in Alberta -including Edmonton- as smoke from the west makes its way east. However, being so far away from the province, the Lakeland looks to be fine for at least today and tomorrow.

The most recent Air Quality Health Index readings from Alberta Environment and Parks say that neither Bonnyville or Cold Lake will exceed a rating of three out of ten either today or tomorrow, which is still considered a “low” risk.

However, that doesn’t mean the region is safe all summer long. Factors such as the direction and intensity of wind and how much worst the fire situation gets in BC could change things rapidly. Check here for hourly updates on air quality.
