Junior B hockey is coming back to Lac La Biche to fill the void left by the Voyageurs. Now the the next step is to get the money together.
Around a dozen people showed up to a meeting Wednesday night the gauge the viability of the Northeast Alberta Junior B Hockey League’s 11th team, known as the Clippers.
The ownership group is looking for sponsorships and other revenue sources to cover 12,000 dollars of expansion fees by August 30. They also hope to raise 50,000 dollars in the same time frame to cover roughly half the cost of a full season of operation.
Another meeting is scheduled for August 8th.
