Faster internet speeds are coming to Bonnyville, which will be serving as a guinea pig for a new TELUS service.
The phone company says it is investing 700,000 dollars in the community this year to help increase wireless capacity. The company adds that Bonnyville is one of only a few places in Alberta getting access to Gigabit Internet, which is one thousand megabits per second. That’s almost seven times faster than what’s currently available.
