Bonnyville’s Riwa Kamaleddine -who was recently crowned Miss East-Central Alberta- is raising money for the Children’s Wish foundation through a few initiatives planned for the next while.
Kamaleddine has started up an account at the Dove Centre Bottle Depot with all the proceeds going to the foundation. Just say that’s where you want to refund to go when you drop your bottles off.until July 5th She’ll also be organizing a bottle drive on July 2nd.
She’s got more plans too. She has a fundraiser garage sale planned on June 9th (and possibly the 10th depending on how things go). She’ll announce the address closer to the date. She’s also organizing a showcase with local artists on June 30th.
“Because Bonnyville has so much talent, I needed to do a fundraiser with it,” she says. Tickets will likely go on sale eventually at Telliers and the Lakeland Grill.
“It’s still in the works but I do have a few artists lined up. There’s going to be a few dances and there’s also going to be a raffle.”
