Cold Lake Chamber of Commerce Wins Award

On Saturday May 27, 2017 the Cold Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce was presented with the “Chamber of the Year” award at the Alberta Chamber of Commerce 79th Annual Conference and Policy Session in Leduc, AB.

Each year the Alberta Chamber of Commerce (ACC) presents the award to four chambers based on membership size. The award winning chambers are chosen through a nomination process with the final decision being made by the board of directors of the ACC, based on a set of criteria set forth by the selection committee. Cold Lake won in the 151-350 member category

“I for one was extremely surprised” says Sherri Bohme with the Chamber. “Normally you’d have a heads up that you were nominated. I didn’t even know we had been nominated. So it was a surprise when they started to talk about the chamber that won and I thought ‘that sounds a lot like our chamber but we didn’t have a nomination in there. When they announced our name it took me a minute for it to actually register.”
