Challenger Baseball Coming to Cold Lake, Needs Players

Challenger Baseball is coming to Cold Lake.

Challenger Baseball is an opportunity for children with cognitive or physical disabilities to enjoy the thrill of playing baseball. Games are played in a fun, safe environment where no score is kept and volunteers help the players out where they need it.

Games will be held every Sunday starting this week at 6pm for one hour at the Energy centre diamonds. You can register if you are new every Sunday at 5:30pm before the game starts.

While the volunteers, field and time are in place the program just needs one more thing to really take off. Players.

Organizer Jeff Roy says he’s only got three players signed up for the first game this Sunday. His goal is to eventually have multiple teams taking part in the fun.
