A traffic stop by the Cold Lake RCMP on May 1st resulted in four arrests on drug charges and the recovery of a stolen truck.
During the stop, 30-year-old Cody Raymond White of Marie Lake tried to flee the scene but was quickly captured. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The other three people in the stolen truck were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine.
Cody White has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, failing to comply with a recognizance x 2, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a probation order. Joel Lagace has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a recognizance x 2. Kaleigh Finnimore has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine. Justin Skulte has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine.
All accused persons are appearing today at Cold Lake Provincial Court and all remain in custody except for Kaleigh Finnimore who was released by a Justice of the Peace on a recognizance.
