Stolen Vehicle Sighting Leads to Low-Speed Chase

A Saskatchewan man has been arrested after trying to ram his way out of a confrontation with Cold Lake RCMP last night.
Around 3:20 police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle being spotted near the No Frills. Once the cops got there the suspect fled and hit two police cars on the way out. It appears his front fire was damaged in the escape though, resulting in a rather low-speed chase that ended on 51st avenue at 41st street.
27 year old Loewen Henry Wolfe of Island Lake First Nation, SK has been charged with the following offences:
  • Assaulting a Police Officer With a Weapon x 2.
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00.
  • Flight from Police While Being Pursued.
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
  • Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident.
  • Obstruction of a Police Officer.
  • Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.
  • Possession of Methamphetamine.
  • Possession of Cocaine.
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Driver’s Licence.
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance.
Wolfe also had two warrants out for his arrest.  He  has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, December 14th.
The Cold Lake RCMP would like to thank the public for their patience as the RCMP brought this unfolding event to a safe conclusion.
