The Md of Bonnyville has passed an official policy to control clubroot, two cases of which have been discovered this year.
Among other things, the policy give the MD the authority to implement random inspections on farms to identify the disease and place a 4 year restriction on farms from growing canola and other susceptible crops if it is found. All nearby landowners will be notified in writing of the discovery of clubroot if it is found.
