Brother and Sister Charged With Multiple Offences

A brother and sister have been charged with a number of crimes after a Bonnyville RCMP officer spotted them while on patrol in Kehewin.

The officer saw a vehicle in a field and discovered it had been stolen from Elk Point. The officer also saw that the sister was rummaging through it. The woman attempted to flee when she saw Police but was caught and arrested. Meanwhile, her brother was hiding in the bushes nearby. He too was arrested.

Several guns were found as well. The siblings are charged with Careless Use of a Firearm X2, Unauthorized Possession of a firearm X2, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose X4, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 X4. Their next court appearance is July 4th in Bonnyville Provincial Court.
